Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Civil Project Manager with an EIT certification (or intent to obtain within six months) to join our Texas operations team. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing and executing impactful water and wastewater projects under the mentorship of experienced professionals. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow your technical skills while making tangible contributions to community-focused engineering solutions throughout Texas.
Your Role at MES:
As a Civil Project Manager, EIT, you will play a vital role in the design and execution of impactful water and wastewater projects. Under the mentorship of experienced professionals, you will contribute to all aspects of project development, from data analysis and design to report preparation and client interaction. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your skills while making a tangible difference in the Texas communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
↳ Assist in the design and coordination of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment facilities, distribution systems, and pump stations across Texas
↳ Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support engineering evaluations and regulatory compliance
↳ Perform technical analyses and ensure designs comply with TCEQ, local, state, and federal regulations
↳ Contribute to the preparation of design reports, specifications, and engineering calculations for Texas projects
↳ Collaborate with CAD designers to review and mark up project drawings for quality assurance
↳ Conduct research on Texas regulations, TCEQ permits, and industry standards to support ongoing projects
↳ Support project managers with administrative and technical tasks, including report production and file management
↳ Assist with field investigations, including site visits and data collection efforts throughout Texas
↳ Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and address technical challenges
↳ Support TCEQ permitting processes and regulatory coordination
Qualifications:
↳ Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering
↳ EIT certification or intent to obtain EIT certification within six months of hire
↳ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
↳ Strong technical writing and communication skills
↳ Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
↳ Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and learning
↳ Knowledge of water distribution and sanitary sewer modeling is a plus
↳ Experience with BioWin Modeling, water/wastewater treatment processes, or related technologies is desirable
↳ Familiarity with TCEQ regulations and Texas permitting processes preferred
↳ Willingness to travel for project-related site visits throughout Texas (approximately 10-15%)

Expected Salary:
↳ $65,000 – $90,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation includes a base salary and eligibility for our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
