78.7% of communities we’ve interviewed have an upcoming project or need support. We strongly encourage communities to explore funding sources like the State Revolving Fund (SRF), which offers critical financial assistance for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects in Colorado.
The SRF Planning Grant offers up to $10,000 to assist with project needs assessments and environmental assessments, helping you secure SRF loans. This grant is specifically targeted to make the SRF application process more manageable for smaller systems.
Eligibility Criteria:
To ensure more equitable access to funding, the SRF is introducing a priority point threshold system for project applications in 2025. Here’s how it works:
Applicants will receive a preliminary score at the Pre-qualification stage and a final score at the Project Needs Assessment stage, offering clarity on project eligibility and timing for loan applications.
Proposed Loan Cycle Schedule:
By implementing this new prioritization system, the SRF aims to ensure high-priority projects receive the funding they need. This shift moves away from a first-come, first-served approach, enhancing transparency and predictability for applicants. Utilizing SRF resources can alleviate financial pressures, improve infrastructure, and help communities comply with evolving regulations.
Curious if your project qualifies for SRF assistance? Taking advantage of these funds can relieve financial strain and accelerate much-needed upgrades. Our team can help guide you through the eligibility criteria, planning requirements, and application process.
