A Johnson County, Texas site got a septic design and permit package, a stormwater pond with a level spreader, and a full civil set in about six months.
A private client needed civil plans for a site on a county road in Johnson County, Texas.
The work covered an on-site septic system and its permit package, stormwater design with a pond, and a full civil plan set.
MES drew the preliminary site plan, then the cover, demolition, site and paving, utility and erosion control plans, and added a driveway.
For wastewater, we estimated the septic flows and BOD loading, designed the septic system with tank drawings and details, and prepared the septic application and permit package. We also called the Johnson County inspector.
For drainage, we used the NRCS soil survey, delineated pre- and post-development basins and built a storm model. In May 2024, we reworked the grading plan from scratch alongside that model.
The set went through several rounds of internal review and markups.
The design includes a pond with an outfall structure and a level spreader.
The full civil set, with the septic plan, erosion control plan, details and a concrete washout, was printed in June 2024, about six months after the first site plan.
The pre- and post-development drainage maps carry the storm model reports.
